Obituary of Bob Carl Robert Kutz

Kutz: Carl Robert "Bob" Kutz passed away April 30, 2010 at the age of 96 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 64 years Jean (nee Orr), his children: Dale Kutz, Lynn (Garry) Angen, Carl (Cheryl) Kutz, Donna Camphaug, their grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by: his parents Barnard and Cora Kutz, his brother Bud (Nora) Kutz; his sisters May (Cliff) Widdifield and Violet (Fred) Berghouser, a son in law Barry Camphaug. Bob was born Feb. 22, 1914 at Creelman, Sask. He served in the Armed Forces in WW11 from 1942 - 1945 in the Provost Corps in the capacity of Military Police. He was injured in Germany and returned home. He married Jean Orr in 1946. Bob and Jean raised their family in Grand Prairie. Upon their retirement they moved back to Saskatchewan. Music was a big part of Bob's life. He played the fiddle for many dances around this area. He also played the fiddle, accompanied by Jean on the guitar at home. This was family entertainment for many years. All the music played was by ear. He could even make the violin sound like bagpipes. Bob was a very talented man. When Bob retired in 1975, they moved to the Orr home place and lived there till 1995, when they sold the acreage and moved to Glaslyn. Bob's basement workshop produced lots of toys, foot stools, thread holders, banana hangers and so many other interesting items. His imagination had no boundaries. Bob and Jean loved to play cards, especially hand and foot canasta and sixty five cent rummy. He enjoyed the simple things in life. He was rototilling the garden at 93 and using the snow blower on his 94th birthday. The only thing that slowed Bob down was his body, it was wearing out. It was a very difficult thing for a man who always worked hard and had such a sharp mind. Family was very important to Bob and he was there for his children. To Dale, he was his hero, to Carl, he was the dad that could fix anything, to Lynn, he was always there for his kids and he never let them down, to Donna, he could fix anything, he was a king and loving man who would say "love you with all my heart", to Jean he was her soul mate and best friend. Bob was a good friend to many. His funeral was held on May 8th, 2010 from the Glaslyn Community all with interment in the Medstead Lutheran Cemetery. Donations in memory of Bob may be made of Donor's Choice.E-mail condolences may be sent to www.beaulacfuneralhome.com. Beau"Lac Funeral Home of Spiritwood was entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Your dad is always with you, he's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street; he lives inside your laughter. He's the map you follow with every step you take. Nothing on earth can separate you, not time, not space, not even death.
