Obituary of Jeanne Ann Kopperud
It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jeanne (nee Elias) Kopperud. Jean passed away Monday, March 25th, 2024, at the age of 78, following a valiant battle of strength and optimism against cancer. Jean will forever remain in our hearts, remembered fondly for her infectious positivity, boundless humour, and vibrant spirit which touched the lives of all fortunate enough to know her.
Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Gerald; children, Dawn (Dwayne) Nyholt , Dean (Cheryl) Kopperud , Terri (Kurtis) Dyck; grandchildren, Brandan (Amanda), Ashley (Derrick), Rebecca, Jordan (Alicia), Jeremy (Megan), Kelsey (Spencer), Taylor (Jory), Dan (Sarha), Bradyn (Amèlie), Carter (Makayla); great-grandchildren, Karson, Abigail, Aubree, Brook, Atticus, Knox, Hudson, Theodore, Emerson, Joey and Luca, sister Earlene Sokoloski, brother Garry Elias (Fran); brothers-in-law, Garry (Shelley) Kopperud, Clair (Susan) Kopperud; sisters-in-law, Gail (Chris) Hanson, Connie (Wayne) Dickson, Donna (Garret) Porten; as well as her nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Jeanne was a beloved figure within the Candle Lake community, known for her involvement in COPPS and her recognition, alongside her husband Gerald, of the Community's Volunteers of the Year Award. She possessed a passion for art, in painting, drawing, teaching, and fostering creativity. Jeanne found joy in golfing, curling, fishing, playing cards, berry picking, and cherished moments spent with her family and friends. Her infectious spirit and zest for life ensured that anyone who crossed paths with her experienced nothing short of joy and laughter.
We struggle to find adequate words to convey the depth of our grief as we mourn the loss of our beloved Jeanne.

A celebration of Jeanne’s beautiful life will take place on Saturday, March 30th, 2024, at 1:30 PM, at the Candle Lake Community Hall, SK-265, Candle Lake, SK.
