Sylvia enjoyed painting, she did pottery, gardened, and golfed for entertainment. She also enjoyed camping and in their early years, Sylvia and Terry did several biking/camping trips with one of them being across P.E.I. Sylvia also enjoyed travelling and she and Terry travelled extensively to the U.S. and Europe. Sylvia also took her aged mother on the trip of a lifetime to Hawaii.
