Obituary of Rita Denise Primeau

Rita Denise Primeau of Vawn, SK passed away in palliative care at BUH on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the age of 56 in North Battleford, SK.

The youngest of 4 children, she was born on January 31, 1968 in Spiritwood, Sk to Albert & Naomi Primeau. After graduating in 1985 in Mayfair, Sk. she moved to North Battleford where she spent the next 20 years. After meeting her husband Ken, she subsequently moved to the Vawn area in 2005.

Until she became sick, she loved being a homemaker, crafting/painting, & gardening, and she loved her nieces & nephews.

Denise is survived by her loving husband Ken Church; step-children Ryan Billette & Rochelle Billette & 2 grandchildren; her mother Naomi Primeau, sister Julie (Ken) Rose, sister Bonnie Primeau, and brother Jesse Primeau.  Also surviving are 4 nieces Michelle (Bobby) Kwiatkowski, Amy (James) Wingert, Carla (Christian) Lobb, & Krista Pollard (Shaun Nelson), and 2 nephews Cole (Madison) Pozdrowski, and Harley Primeau (and all of their families).

She was predeceased by her father Albert Primeau in November 2022. In the end she just wanted to go to Heaven to be with Jesus and to see her Dad. We will very much miss our Denise and the bright light that she was in our lives.

The funeral service will be held Monday April 22, 2024 at 2pm from the Shell Lake Lions Hall, Shell Lake, SK.
