Obituary of Mamie Lucy Ernst

MAMIE ERNST

1932 - 2024

Mamie Lucy Ernst passed away on May 20, 2024, in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 91 years. 

Mamie was born on December 11, 1932, on the farm at Sturgeon River, SK. She went to school at Sturgeon River, where she completed her Grade 10. 

In 1950, she worked at the Prince Albert Sanitorium and later the Holy Family and Victoria Union Hospital. 

On June 20, 1953, she married Lewis Ernst at the Holy Trinity Church in Sturgeon Valley. Mamie and Lewis had 5 children, Marilyn, Robert, Glenn, Shelley, and David. 

She enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening and thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She is survived by her loving husband Lewis; and her children, Marilyn and her children, Corey ( Shannon) and their daughter Austen, Christopher, and Brennen; Robert (Janelle) and their children, Janessa 

(Nick) and their children Ricky, Ella, & Piper, Kimberley (Brayden) Hart and their children Maverick & Avery; Glenn; Shelley (Terry) Kennedy and their children Rob (Alicia) and their children Hudson and Jackson, Riley (Amelia) and their children Leighton and Orlan; David and his children, Stephanie (Michael), Stephen & Stuart (Amy) and their daughter Ruby; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Mamie was predeceased by her brothers Frank, Jack & Gordon; and son-in-law Ed Palko. 

There will be a private family service held for Mamie at a later date.
