I met Preston 5 or 6 years ago through a mutual friend. I was gardening at the house she was renting and Preston would often stop by. My friend would sometimes give him food and clothes and a place to sleep. Preston was unfailingly polite. Whenever he would see me in the garden he would ask how I was. And every time he left he would say, "Have a good day." Preston was well-known in my neighbourhood and people would often help him out. Preston had friends, and people who cared about him. He will be missed.
