Obituary of Bernice Antoinette Marshall

Bernice Antoinette Marshall

( Comeault) 1928-2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, Bernice Antoinette Marshall.

Bernice was born to Alfred and Melvina Comeault on March 3,1928, in the Sturgeon River District.  She was one of four siblings: Angela Reigert, Muriel Duffield, Benjamin Comeault, and Lucille Henders.

In 1935, Bernice travelled to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, to pursue a business course. She worked for 51/2 years before marrying Bruce Marshall and having six children.

Her married life took her to Yellowknife, Uranium City, Prince Albert, and eventually settling in Shellbrook to raise her children.  Shellbrook has been Mom's home for 58 years.

Mom had many passions in her life, but her family was her superpower. Mom loved spending time with her family, and we all felt her love.  She was also passionate about her gardening, raspberries, quilting, canning, bread making, puzzles and knitting. She inspired her family to enjoy life, to learn, to love and to hold each other close.

Bernice is survived by her loving sister, Lucille Henders and her six children: Judy (Lawrence) Phillip of Shellbrook Saskatchewan; Dale (Janice) Marshall of Kelowna BC, Joan (John) Virgl of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Janet (Bob) Mantyka of Peachland, BC; Joyce (Rick) Clark of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Ben (Judy) Marshalll of Calgary Alberta, along  with 18 grandchildren and 15 great grand children.

Mom always said, "If you are going to do a job, do it right!”

Until we meet again, Mom, you have been a rock and an inspiration. We will miss you deeply.

GodSpeed.

Bernice's children would like to thank the Shellbrook Home Care Service for their support.

We especially want to thank Sarah, Pam, Shawna, Courtney, Meghan and Denille! Your love and care for Mom was sincerely appreciated and will

be remembered. Thank you.
