Obituary of Martha Constant

Martha Priscilla Constant, late of Prince Albert, SK, passed away at the Rose Garden Hospice on July 16, 2024, at the age of 86 years.  Martha was the youngest child born to Gilbert and Rachel Constant (nee Umpherville).   The St. Stephens Church had just been completed and Martha was the first baby to be baptized there.  She was a devoted Anglican and read and studied her Bible daily.  In 1957 Martha was the first graduate of the Pahonan School on the James Smith Reserve.  She later attended Teachers College in Saskatoon, obtaining her license in 1959.  She taught various places before taking a placement with Sask. Catholic School Division in Prince Albert, and retired in 2002. 

A Come and Go Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Beau “Lac” Funeral Home, 300B – 300 Marquis Road West, Prince Albert, SK.  Wake Service will commence at 7:00 pm., Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Sakwatamo Lodge, James Smith Cree Nation, SK.   Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Sakwatamo Lodge, and interment will follow in St. Stephens Anglican Cemetery.  Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Beau “Lac” Funeral Home and Crematorium, Tracy-Lynn Lenchuk, Funeral Director, and Jolissa Trudel, Prince Albert, SK 306-763-3322.
