Randolph Mardell

Obituary of Randolph Dale Mardell

Randy passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024.  He was born in Prince Albert on November 1, 1956, and was the youngest of three children.  He grew up in Prince Albert and attended high school at PACI.  After graduating, he started working at the Department of Northern Saskatchewan (DNS) and continued his career with the Provincial Government, moving on to the Department of Highways where he retired in 2011.  Randy loved music and had an extensive collection of LP’s and CD’s.  He enjoyed watching sports; his favorite teams were the Chicago Blackhawks and the Toronto Blue Jays, and he was also a lifelong Saskatchewan Roughrider fan.  Randy was an avid cat lover and there were always at least two cats who were part of the family household.

Randy was a kind, reserved person with a great sense of humor.  Randy will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Dianne Bradley; his brother Allan Mardell (June Younge); his nephews, Michael Mardell and David Mardell; his niece, Allison Mardell; his brother-in-law, Stuart Bradley and his wife, Shawna, niece Emma and nephew Ian; as well as Pat (Bradley) and Bruce Borrowman and nephew, Alex.  Randy was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Anne Mardell; and his brother, Kenneth Mardell.  A Celebration of Randy’s Life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Randy may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.ca
