Obituary of Ernest Hamilton Stewart
Ernie “ Old Boh” Stewart
Dad passed away on November 21, 2024. Dad was born August 5, 1937, to Paul and Esther Stewart. He grew up 2 miles south of the Star City corner. I remember him saying it was a busy corner for kids. He was the second oldest in the family, his older sister Dorothy, then our Dad, followed by Allen, Alice, Melvin, Morley, Cheryl and Lorie. We went to the farm as often as possible and sometimes took the long way home to hunt for hazelnuts or a prairie chicken for supper. Dad liked the outdoors, hunting, fishing or target practice and would take along anyone that showed interest in it, namely, Nick, Kelly, Amy, Shane and I. In later years, Dad and Loretta enjoyed sitting in the gazebo and catching up with the many friends and relatives that stopped by. Ernie and Ed had their daily communion for many years. Dad enjoyed all of the pictures of his grandkids and great-grandkids always asking what they were up to.
He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Esther; his sister, Dorothy; brother-in-law, Jack; his brothers, Melvin and Allen; his sister-in-law Ruby; and brother-in-law, Arlin. Left to remember him are his spouse, Loretta; his children and grandchildren, Susan, Keith, Amy, Shane, Sterling, Nick, Erica, Dawson, Parker, Maverick; his siblings, Alice, Morley, Cheryl and Lorie as well as many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, the family will celebrate his life privately. Friends and family wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com . Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Beau “Lac” Funeral Home and Crematorium, Tracy-Lynn Lenchuk, Funeral Director, Prince Albert, SK 306-763-3322.
