Obituary of Carol Anne Bazley
Carol Ann Bazley was born on April 9, 1953, the eldest to James and Jean Nesland; sister to Debbie, Dean and Craig. As a child Carol attended the Mont Nebo School.
Carol had known the love of her life, Wayne Bazley, since they were kids. They married April 3, of 1970. With much love they welcomed their first son Neil, in 1970, and completing their family with their second son Michael, in 1972.
For many years, Carol lived on a farm with her family outside of Mont Nebo, where she worked as a Postmaster, first in Mont Nebo and then Big River.
After Wayne and Carol’s boys left home, they moved to La Ronge where they owned and ran a motel until they retired. Retirement had them moving back to Mont Nebo, to the acreage that was Carol’s childhood home. They spent many years on this acreage until they eventually moved to their final home in Shellbrook, where they met many wonderful friends.
Carol was a family orientated woman, and family played a special role in her life. Anytime Carol and her siblings would get together, it was always an environment filled with laughter. She loved spending her time with her grandkids, Todd and Megan. She spent many of her days when Todd and Megan were younger, doing arts and crafts, teaching them how to make peanut butter cookies, and playing numerous board games, just to name a few things she enjoyed with her grandchildren. Carol loved when her family could all be together, having her husband, boys and their wives, and grandchildren all in her house. These times with her family brought so much joy, filling the room with her infectious smile and laughter.
Carol leaves behind her husband Wayne, her sons Neil (Kate) Bazley and Michael (Renae) Bazley, her grandchildren Todd Bazley and Megan (Ryder) Budden, and her siblings Debbie Benson and Craig (Darren) Nesland, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Carol was an amazing woman. She was kind, caring, stubborn and funny. She will be truly missed.
Carol was predeceased by her Parents James and Jean Nesland, and her younger brother Dean Nesland.
