Obituary of Joseph Gumulcak

We deeply regret to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our father Joseph Gumulcak, on Sunday December 20th, 2010. He leaves behind his five sons Joe (Celia), Charlie, Bob (Billie), Bevan, Barry. Grandchildren Joe Gumulcak, Joelene Yarycky, Jody Watkin, Jaimie Lemire, Chris Gumulcak, Tammy Gumulcak, Bobby Gumulcak, Brandy Gumulcak, Brianne Gumulcak, Brendan Gumulcak. Great Grandchildren Hallie, Sarah, Joey Gumulcak, Willow, Sabrina, Hazel Lemire, Kaydence Gumulcak, Ethan Gumulcak. Joseph had many extended family Tom & Mimi Kai, John & Wilma Kai, Lamont Kai, Diane, David Lewis, Jeff, Anita, Jo anne Kai, Heath, Corrine Kai, Ron, Karen Woelk, and many more whom called him Papa Chuck Joseph was predeceased by his parents Joseph in 1978, Maria in 1995, two of his sisters Mary in 1967, and Anne in 1992. He is also survived by his brother Steve (Lil) of Keromeos BC, John (Sylvia) of Buck Lake Alberta, Paul (Debbie) of Buck Creek, Alberta, Sisters Helen (John) of Oliver BC, Pauline (Ron) of Red Water Alberta, as well as numerous nephews & nieces. He was born on April 15th, 1933 at Mistatium, Saskatchewan. Joseph left the family farm at an early age to work in various fields, before settling on being an Iron Worker. He joined the Iron Workers Union in February 1957and he retired in 1998. His first love was farming which he did throughout his life. He finally found a section of land to clear in the Rabbit Lake district where he grew grain, raised cattle, eventually settling on Ostriches & tending to his flower garden and working with his sawmill. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 29th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Park Funeral Home in Saskatoon with Delores Beaulac officiating. The pallbearers will be Chris, Bobby, Joe Jr. & Brendan Gumulcak, Jeff Kai & David Lewis. Memorial Donations in memory of Joseph may be made to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, SK.
