Obituary of Renee` Monique Trueman

TRUEMAN - Mrs. Renee Monique 1967 - 2011 Mrs. Renee Monique Trueman late of Shellbrook passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011 in Shellbrook Hospital at the age of 44 years. Renee was the fourth child born to Andrew & Angeline Hamand of Blaine Lake, SK. With quite an age difference between Renee and her older siblings, growing up she had to entertain herself as her brothers Kevin, Dale and sister Linda were soon all moved out leaving Renee as the only child at home. As a young girl Renee loved to sing by herself, and eventually took singing lessons. In 1984 Renee's best friend Shannon decided to play match maker with Renee and a young Shellbrook boy named Brian Trueman, soon to be the love of her life. They went from dating in 1984 to getting married in 1985 and shortly there after, to being new parents to a beautiful baby girl named Andrea. Renee at the young age of 18 did an amazing job going from a new wife / farm hand to mother to homemaker. After getting married Brian and Renee lived on the Trueman farm before moving out south of Shellbrook to the ten mile corner. Renee had many different jobs from working at Frodos Restaurant to going out to Alberta with Brian to work the pipe line. She eventually started at the nursing home and then into home care as a special care aid, which was her true calling. On her off time you could find Renee sitting down with her tea and lemons and watching the news, reading the newspaper, scratching the odd lottery ticket, playing cards with friends, gardening, and canning. Another favorite family hobby of Renee's was Derby time, when Brian and the boys would get a car ready. Renee loved her pets, if she had one she had five at the same time. She will be sadly missed by her favorite pet friend "Angel". After years of working on their new yard, planting trees, and moving bins, this past winter Renee and Brian moved into their new house, Renee finally had her new house. Renee will be lovingly remembered by her husband Brian Trueman; her daughter Andrea Trueman (Aaron Schewalje); her mother Angeline Hamand; her sister Linda (John) Vangoor and their daughter Raelene; her brothers Kevin (Sherry) Hamand and children Raeleen, Andria & Jesse; Dale (Cathy) Hamand and children Mitch & Erica; her brother in laws Kirby Trueman and children Danielle & Ryan; David Trueman; Trevor Trueman; Chris Trueman; her mother in law Marie Trueman; her father in law Norman Trueman as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Renee was predeceased by her father Andrew Hamand; her grandparents Joseph & Delia Hamand and John & Mary Popov; and her special aunt Gilberte Hamand. A Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. for Renee in the Shellbrook Community Hall. Delores Beaulac was the Celebrant, Jackie Sommerfeld shared memories of Renee, Dave Hjertaas was the organist, and Pat Sonntag performed Amazing Grace. The pallbearers were Kevin Hamand, Dale Hamand, Chris Trueman, Trevor Trueman, David Trueman and Kirby Trueman, and the Parkland Terrace and Home Care Staff formed an Honor Guard. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Renee to the Parkland Terrace Foundation. The interment took place in the Shellbrook Cemetery.
