This is where Johanna met Frank Aumack, whose parents owned Cresent Beach. Johanna married Frank Aumack of Rabbit lake where they farmed and helped run Crescent Beach Resort, for the first 13 years of their marriage. All of her children were born during this time. In 1961 they moved to a new yard site only mile away from the resort and continued farming until 1987, when Frank passed away. Johanna remained living at the farm in the summer months and spent the better part of her winters traveling and staying with her daughter Glenda in Surrey, BC. During this time she was actively involved with the Senior Sunrise Centre in Rabbit Lake. In 2004 Johanna moved to Spiritwood and became an active member in the community. She spent many hours volunteering at the lodge and she almost always spent her Thursday afternoons playing Bingo at the senior's hall. Johanna became an active member of her church at a young age and carried her faith through out her whole life.
