Obituary of Herbert Thomas Mayo

Herb was born September 27th, 1929 Shell Lake District, Saskatchewan and died December 7th, 2012 Spiritwood, Saskatchewan at the age of 83 years. Herb was born and resided in Shell Lake area living on the family farm his entire life. He farmed and worked for the highway department where he enjoyed the people he met and worked with. He was an avid curler and quick to volunteer in the community if he was needed. His sense of humour was one of his greatest trademarks. His pride and joy was his family and his grand children. He will be always remembered and forever missed. He leaves to cherish his memories:His daughter: Wendy (Douglas) Yuzwenko of Trail, BC His grandchildren: Jarett (Valyne) Keller and their children, Teya & Jackson of High Level, AB, Chantel (Brad) McKendry and son, Grayson of Grand Prairie, AB, Kayleigh Yuzwenko of Trail, BC, Alexi Yuzwenko of Trail, BC and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He is predeceased by: his wife, Joyce in 2007, his daughter, Valerie, his sons, Myles and Cecil, his grandson, Zeb Yuzwenko, his parents, Cecil and Marjorie Mayo, his brothers, David, Charlie and Cyril Funeral Service for Herb will be held Friday, January 4th, 2013 ~ 2:00 pm from the Shell Lake Lion`s Hall Shell Lake, SK officiated by Rev. Ross Helgeton. Final Resting Place will be in the Shell Lake Cemetery. Memorial Donations in memory of Herb can be made to the Donor`s Choice. Email condolences will be forwarded to the family.
