Obituary of Martha Emma Field

It is with great sadness that the family of Martha Field announce her unexpected passing on Sunday, January 13, 2013 in the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. at the age of 83 years. Martha was born on Nov. 9, 1929 in Shellbrook, SK. to Hjalmar and Elfrieda Johanson. Martha leaves to cherish her memory;Her husband, Stuart Field of Shellbrook, SK., Her daughter, Terry (Duff) Friesen of Prince Albert, SK., Her grandchildren, Tamaris (Kyle) Borysiuk of Prince Albert, SK., Courtney Friesen of Prince Albert, SK., Hailee Friesen of Prince Albert, SK., Meghan (Jaret) Mayer of Prince Albert, SK. and their children, Chalei and Judah, Her brothers and sister,Norman (Chris) Johanson of Summerland, BC., Rudy (Evelyn) Johanson of Port Alberni, BC., Margaret (Buddy) Malone of Duncanville, TX., numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Martha was predeceased by; Her daughter, Paulette Stead, Her brother, Douglas (Hazel) Johanson,Her parents, Hjalmar and Elfrieda Johanson . The Celebration of Life was held in Shellbrook Pentecostal Church on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Glen Stead as Officiant. The Pianist was Marlene Smart. The Honorary Pallbearers were “All of Martha’s family and friends who knew and loved her.” The active pallbearers were Kyle Borysiuk, Maurice Kasun, Jaret Mayer, Eugene Dupuis, Bill Odermatt, Ralph Kendel. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Martha to either the Jewish Voice Ministries (Box 476 Maple Ridge, B.C. V2X 3P2) or to the Shellbrook & Districts Health Services Project. Interment was in Shellbrook Cemetery in the Veterans Section. Beau"Lac" Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
