Obituary of Walter "Eddie" Dutchak

Walter E. Dutchak (Eddie), beloved husband, father, gido, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 02, 2006 surrounded by his loving family. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Delores (Glenn) Loewen of Regina and their children Tracy (Alex) Lindsay, Craig and DeLee Loewen, his son Walter P. Dutchak of North Battleford, his daughter Lorrieann (Lyle) Frohlich of North Battleford and their children Laurissa, Latashea and Landon, and his daughter Candice (Calvin) Boldt of Hafford and their children Brianna, Allysia and Lorne, also his daughter in law Cindy Ward Dutchak and her son Terrance (Ashley Ostoforoff) of Saskatoon, as well as 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones. Eddie was predeceased by his wife Stella in 2002, his son Dennis in 2005 and his sister Marie Panchuk in 2006. Eddie was born to Paul and Rose Dutchak in the Harmonia District February 21, 1929. He was the youngest of four children. Eddie married Stella Dzugalo in 1956. They lived in Blaine Lake where they raised their five children. Eddie began his working life in the transportation business hauling goods to Blaine Lake and district from Saskatoon. Later, he worked as the Blaine Lake Town Constable and in town maintenance. The family would like to thank all those who spent time with Eddie during his final days. A special thank you to the staff at Villa Pascal and at City Hospital for the care and respect he received during his stay there. A special thank you to Dr. Shenouda for the special extra care. In lieu of flowers, the family would please ask that donations be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Ukrainian Catholic Church in Blaine Lake. The Prayer service will be held Wednesday September 6, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Ukrainian Catholic Church in Blaine Lake, Sk. And the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday September 7, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Ukrainian Catholic Church in Blaine Lake, Sk. Eddie will be laid to rest beside his wife Stella in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
