Obituary of Alberta Rose ANGUS

It is with saddened hearts that the family of Alberta Rose Angus announce her accidental death near Victoire, SK. on May 15, 2013 at the age of 20 years. Alberta was born on October 4, 1992 in Taber, Alberta to John and Hazel Angus. “Berta” is survived by her: parents, John and Hazel Angus, her brothers; Milton (Sonya) Crookedneck, Elton (Katherine) Crookedneck, William (Melissa) Crookedneck, Tyler (Janna) Crookedneck, Joey Angus. Her sisters; Molina (Jayson) Thomas, Marina (Darcy) Starblanket, Samantha Angus, Amy (Cody) Angus, Nancy Angus. ,Her Grandfather, Mel Joseph, Adopted father, Lenny Poucette, Numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Berta was predeceased by; her great grandparents, William and Ellen Joseph, Her grandparents, Rose Angus and John Matchee, Her grandmother, Nancy Joseph, Her sister, Marlena Crookedneck, Her nieces, Helene Thomas and Shayna Crookedneck, Her “Hunny” Robert Junior Whitehead The Wake for “Berta” commenced on May 17th, 2013 at the Mistahi Sipiy Elementary School Gym on Big River First Nation. The Funeral Service was held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mistahi Sipiy Elementary School Gym with the Elders as officiants. The Pallbearers were Leon McGilvery, Darcy McGilvery, Micheal Crookedneck, Adrian Joseph, Mel “Buddy” Joseph, Cody Bill. Honorary Pallbearers: Alana Bear, Raven Thomas, Brittney Thomas, Jessica Morin, Jamie Thomas, Lori Geyshick/Weenonis, Colin Jacko, Bradley Saulteaux, Roberta Lachance, Tasha Thomas, Samantha Lachance, Rebecca Daniels, Tristen Ironstar, Josh Crookedneck, Payton Peekeekoot, Alana Seekum and all the Group Home Staff, and all of “Berta’s” other family and friends who knew and loved her. The Interment was in the Whitefish Anglican Cemetery.
