Obituary of Kathleen Rodocker

Rodocker(Beeds) Kathleen passed away peacefully on June 7, 2013 at the age of 79 years in Prince Albert, with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her six loving children – Elizabeth (Rick) Horon and her children Melanie (Dwayne), Pamela, Aaron (Erin); Verla Sherhols and her children Sarah and William; Edgar (Faye) Rodocker and his daughter Jodi; Wanda (Rick) Lofstrom and their three sons Stephen, Matthew and Jared; Cindy Herbel and her children Megan and Clayton, Patty (Gerald) Heisler and their three sons Jordan, Michael and Elliot and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Barnston and Flora, siblings Irene, Arthur, Lawrence, Eleanor, Olive, Lila and a great grandson Nathan. Kathleen was born March 14, 1934 at Ahtahkakoop Reserve to Barnston and Flora Beeds. She attended school at Shell Lake, SK until she went on to work in PA for a time at Wing’s Café. On April 17, 1959 she married Lloyd Rodocker and became a homemaker. They were married for 51 years in which they extended a generous heart and helping hand to others. Mom loved to bake and try her hand at many creative classes that were offered in town such as sewing, carpentry and upholstery. She, along with Dad especially enjoyed having their children and grandchildren just hanging out at the farm. She and Dad enjoyed many road trips to the Casino, Chuckwagon Races and Music Festivals until his passing in 2010. As lonely as the next 3 years were without Lloyd, she focused on her children and grandchildren and had many friends to support and love her until her passing. Funeral services were held at Shell Lake Lions Hall on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.. Interment took place at the Shell Lake Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Shell Lake Cemetery.
