Obituary of Carl R. Kohut
Carl R. Kohut was born to Theodore and Margaret Kohut in the Rabbit Lake district March 29, 1935. Carl passed away peacefully July 4, 2013 in the Shellbrook Hospital. He had battled cancer for 2 years.
In his early years he farmed with his dad and his brother Walter. He moved to his own farm in 1958 where he remained for the rest of his life. He loved farming, especially harvest time. Animals were also a joy to him.
He was predeceased by his parents, his son Roger, his brothers David & Naster, his sister Elizabeth, his brother-in-laws Danny Lorinczy and Bob Lyons, and nieces and nephew.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Victoria (nee Werezak) of 50 years, his children: Sylvia (Harold) Wiebe of Swift Current, SK., Judy Blaker of Fredericksburg, TX., Allan (Jody) Kohut & Benjamin of Wetaskiwin, AB, Donna (Dale) Barclay & Logan, Sarah, Dana, Tanner of Elkford, BC. Also a brother Walter (Helen), and sister Irene Lorinczy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held August 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Spiritwood Cemetery.
Donations can be made to the Parkland Integrated Health Facility in Shellbrook or the Spiritwood Health Care Facility.
