Obituary of Adeloza Couture

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom/Mémere. She passed away peacefully at the Herb Bassett Home on Tuesday, August 13th. She was predeceased by her husband, Ubald, her son, Lucien, her son-in-law, Jean and great grandchildren, Paulette, Angel & Richard. She leaves behind her children, Claudette, Bernice (Robert) Carrier, Daniel (Amanda) Couture, Normand (Jeanne) Couture, Réal (Doris) Couture; her sister Alexandra Dalton, her brother Léo Charrois and her sister-in-law Annette Charrois. Grandchildren Doris, Lucien, Robert, Martin, Donald, Leon, Raquel, Monique, Charlotte, Stefan, Mark & Serge. 21 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Adeloza and Ubald farmed in the community of Debden. She was an immaculate housekeeper and a super cook. She was a very organized person with the motto…There’s a place for everything and everything has its place. Adeloza travelled with her sister and friends to many destinations throughout Canada, United States and Europe. A trip to Rome to see the Pope was a lifetime highlight. Adeloza belonged to the Golden Age Club in Debden. She was a very social person and made many good friends. On Thursday afternoons she could always be found at the Debden café enjoying a cup a coffee with them. In her younger years, Adeloza loved to dance and was proud to show off her dancing trophies. She was always ready for a game of cards and was proud to play cribbage with her great granddaughters, Brianne & Aimée. Because of health issues, Adeloza moved to Prince Albert in 2006. Although it was difficult to leave all her friends, she gracefully accepted the move and made more friends at Kopera’s and Sunny Day Care Centre. She was a firm believer that with God’s help she could overcome any challenge. We were so blest to have had such a good Mom/Mémere. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 17th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church in Debden, SK with Reverend Father Sebastian Kunnath celebrating. Interment will follow at the Debden Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Adeloza may be made to the St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church or Cemetery, Debden SK.
