Wishing we could have attended Uncle Francis' funeral on Thursday since we live so far away. But we heard it went really well, and we are happy about that.
Francis had an incredibly full life in spite of his "handicaps" - and we were very proud to have him in our family.
We were especially glad to have been able to talk to him by phone just a couple of weeks before he died, and he was doing really well. So, it was a shock when we heard that he had died. But at least it was a peaceful death, and he didn't suffer.
He was such a joy to be around - and we'll never forget him. The Leask towns people were his family, and he was especially well treated at the Wheatland Lodge. Any donations in his memory should be addressed to "Wheatland Lodge Recreation" in Leask, Saskatchewan. They were fantastic - and we will always be grateful to them.
