Obituary of Sophie Mary Yablonski

Sophie Mary Yablonski June 2, 1920- November 25, 2017 It is with deep sadness and yet with peace that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Sophie Mary Yablonski. Mom was born in Poland, immigrating to Canada in 1927. She married Ben Yablonski in 1942, together they started their life on a farm in Cookson, Saskatchewan. Sophie is survived by her children; Terry (Marion) Yablonski, Lydia (Barry) Gobeil, Shirley (Donald) Skinner, Eleanor Bader (Milton); her special nephew Ted (Helen) Korzak; her grandchildren Kevin (Shawna) Bader, Chris (Karlee) Bader, Joanne (Clay) Sappenfield, Jeff (Anik) Gobeil, Erica (Robbie) Jacobs, Jessica (Chris) McAllister, Matthew (Meisha Virtue) Yablonski; her twelve great grandchildren; her sister-in-law Julia Yablonski; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Ben Yablonski, infant daughter Alice, son-in-law Bob Bader. Mom loved life to the fullest, always enjoying family, and her many friends. Family being her greatest love. Her strength and determination were an inspiration to us all. The family wishes to thank the staff for the amazing care and comfort during her stay at Mont St. Josephs Home. Funeral Mass to be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, November 29th, 2017 at Mont St. Joseph Holy Family Chapel, 777-28th Street East Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Father DJ Vu celebrating. Family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of tributes, donations in Sophie’s memory may be directed to Mont St. Joseph Foundation.
