My grandma was the most loving person. She always laughed at me because as a young kid I couldn’t get close enough to her for a cuddle or hug, she’d always say “it was like you wanted to crawl inside me, you always were trying to hug me closer”. That just reflects how much love I have for her. We absolutely loved staying at grandma’s house in Victoire. There was always something fun to do. Starting the day with waking up early to watch The Price is Right with grandma and then spending the day outside playing and helping with the garden. We always were spoilt with treat bags and money to go next door to get ice cream. A lake nearby meant for summers full of fun at grandma’s house. We were always fed the best food and welcomed with open arms. Nothing better then filling grandma’s house of family sleeping under one roof for all the holidays. We were so blessed to have her as our grandma and I know I will always ache to see that smile of hers once more and wish to have just one more hug. She was always there to lift our spirits and I know she will be the best guardian angel to her whole family. Love you forever grandma!

Our loving sister we will always cherish you in our hearts. Her life was filled with her loving devotion to her family and husband Philip. The first thing she taught her children were to respect their elders it was always Mr & Mrs., uncle and aunty, and taught them all to be caring and strong and set their goals high as she did herself. One example of her devotion to her children was when she took on the doctors at the University Hospital that wanted to amputate her sons leg after a tragic accident, she said my son is going to walk out of here with both of legs in tact! Although it was a very painful procedure with the doctors hard work, he did walk out with both his legs and today lives a full life! This only one example of her devotion to all her children. Doris was the greatest cook in the world! She put on many family gatherings that filled her heart with love to have everyone around her! Our loving sister we will miss you dearly until we meet again!

Auntie Doris will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered. In our hearts she will live. Every time I hear Charlie Major, I will raise my glass and think of her. I can still see her and have a picture of her on my deck, singing to his music! So special. My heart goes out to you all! Love you!

My Grandma was the sweetest and most special grandma. I spent a lot of time at my grandparents as a child, I especially loved summers out in Victoire. We used to run wild at grandma’s, bare feet running and playing outside while Grandma and Grandpa worked in the garden. Grandma always took the time to show us how to garden, how to cook, go for walks down to the lake, go for ice cream and poutine and the country grill, a treat bag at the corner store and feel the most loved. It didn’t matter if we were watching Grandma’s soaps or playing - as long as we were with her or getting her attention, we loved it.
Grandma taught us about religion, going to church was always very important to Grandma and Grandpa. I used to love the feeling of walking out of midnight mass at Christmas and listening to Christmas music playing outside her home.
Going to Grandmas also meant amazing food. It didn’t seem to matter what was on the stove, it was always unbelievable.
My grandma was strong, independent, loving, and caring. If you had a problem then she had a solution or a Saint to pray to for guidance.
I will miss our conversations, our time spent together, being with you during the holidays, your advice and the sense of love and safety you provided. You were beyond special to me. I hope you’re resting now. I will always love and miss you Grandma! ❤️
