Obituary of Lindsay Newman

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our son, brother, uncle, and good friend Lindsay Dale Newman of Weirdale, SK, on August 17, 2020. Lindsay was born to Bruce and Helen Newman on March 22, 1972. He graduated from Meath Park High School in 1990. Right out of school he started his partsperson/manager career that lasted about 30 years, in Western Canada. Lindsay loved playing softball, hockey and a good game of golf. He was in the Weirdale Blazing Saddles 4-H Club where he had the fastest horse, “Lightning” (ha ha!). At one time his friends put a sticker on his snowmobile that read “BIG BUBBA”. He loved animals and picnics with his family and friends. He was always there to help, and he put a smile on everyone’s face no matter what the problem. He will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him. He is survived by his father, Bruce Newman; his sister, Tracy (Randy) Balan; his niece, Rebecca Balan and children Brooke and Brynn; his niece Taylor Balan and children Ryker and Trapper; his brother, Howard Newman, and Mark (Halley) Newman and children Mikayla and Ainsley; and his niece Jessica Newman; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Helen (nee Lindsay) Newman; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. No formal funeral service will be held. In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Lindsay may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 26 – 1738 Quebec Avenue, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 1V9.
