Having known and worked with Garney for a very long time while at STC, there is one particular thing that stood out about him, that was his character. Always a warm hello with an added friendly smile. Always had time to chat a while and always there if you needed a hand with anything. I don't think I can recall once ever seen him angry. Hard working man, very professional at his work and I believe I can say with confidence that everyone respected him as I have. I can say that because I have never ever heard anyone speak ill of him. It's difficult to go through life deserving of these words but I think Garney did.
