We are so sorry to hear of Mervin's passing. He was always so kind and patient when my Mom would call him with technical problems that didn't evolve his business at all! Our thoughts are with his family.

We are so sorry that Mervin has passed away. He is remembered for his great sense of humor and his easy going view of life. As a young man Mervin helped us will all kinds of projects , building our house and much more. I was also taught so much about mechanics from his Dad, so their memoires will always be with me. Words cannot express the honor I feel for having known Mervin. Rest in Peace

Mervin Volk, a wonderful human being with one of the best personalities you will ever find in a person. If you knew Merv, you were one of the lucky one's, because you would have had the pleasure of watching a man work hard, but enjoying it with his quick-witted jokes he would have been sure to make you laugh hysterically! You would have also witnessed a man full of life and taking in the Great Outdoors every chance he could....and if you really knew him well you would have been fortunate to taste some of his fish cooking skills, yummy Brunch making and really appreciate a good cup of coffee with him while sitting around a campfire. I have so many
Awesome memories of Mervin that I will always keep close to me. I was so lucky to have known him growing up as a kid and spending time at my second home, the "Volk House"! Rest easy Merv I know you'll entertain everyone up in heaven. My deepest and sincerest condolences to Catherine, Randy, Jody, Sarah, and their famlies, and all of Mervin's other family members. He will be greatly missed hugs and love to you all.
Sincerely: Alicia, Justin, Kazden, Zaylee, Talin, and Laraya

How do you pay tribute to a friend you've known for 60 years in a few lines? From the sandbox at Sam Swear's Farm Sale in 1960 to going to school, standing up at each other's weddings in the late 70's , to our children being born, their weddings and their children. The quadding trips, camping, fish fries and canasta games with friends and yes playing sticks:).The yearly birthday calls. So many great times. I seriously can't imagine life without his friendship. We are going to miss Mervin terribly. Mervin always made you feel welcome, he was kind and a true friend. To Catherine, Randy, Jody, Sarah and families, no words can ease the pain but please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you now and for the days ahead.

Reading all of the memories brings a smile to my face. It is evident Uncle Mervin left a lasting impression to everyone that knew him. Almost all of my memories of him involve his quick witted comments accompanied with that mischievous smirk. Auntie Catherine, Randy, Jody and Sarah, I am so very sorry for your loss. I can just see Grandpa, Bill, and Jerome greeting him with open arms - together again. Rest easy Godfather and Uncle. Love, Ron, Renee, Jack & Charleigh

One of my favorite memories of Mervin is him pulling out of their drive onto the highway with his Buick Riviera and laying into it hard enough to burn rubber and not letting off until he was at the service station. There was a lot of tire smoke!!! The memory is not the event but the s### eating grin on his face as he went past me out in the yard.
Mervin would take my brother and I out shooting, there was always awesome snacks and lots of laughs. He was an adult, we were kids, always respected that.
He knew how to laugh and how to make people laugh. May those left behind find a few laughs as you reminisce. Trent
