To Colleen, Ruth, Allen, Sylvia and Darrell
Ean’s passing came as a complete shock to me. It is a reminder how fragile life is. We were neighbours of the Prosser’s and our families became close and dear friends. I remember when his mom told me of one of his adventures. Ruth was busy with housework and had just when she had finished washing her floors Ean appeared muddy after being down at the slough. With him he brought a baby duck. Even though she knew it was the end of her clean floors she let him bring it in, put water in the tub and let Ean watch the duck swim. She looked at me and said “what else was I supposed to do”. Ean also claimed I made the best bread. Which I know wasn’t true because his mom’s bread was just as good or better. Maybe it was the Cheese Whiz!!! Also Ean would come over and help Albert with the baling in his free time knowing all he would get was a free meal. I am sure he did this for other’s as well. I am sure others have similar stories to tell. He will be missed by his family and friends. To them I offer my deepest sympathy and condolences. Bless you all.
